Namespace AvroSharp.Codecs
The codecs of the AvroSharp.Codecs package: SnappyCodec, ZstandardCodec, Bzip2Codec and XzCodec. Each is an AvroCodec; give one to a writer through AvroFileWriterOptions.Codec. AvroCodecs. All holds all four with their default settings. Given to AvroFileReaderOptions.Codecs, it lets a reader read every codec in the specification, with the built-in null and deflate codecs. The files themselves are read and written with AvroSharp.Containers.
Classes
- AvroCodecs
The codecs of this package, for readers of files whose codec is not known in advance.
- Bzip2Codec
The
bzip2codec: each block is one bzip2 stream.
- SnappyCodec
The
snappycodec: each block is Snappy-compressed and followed by the 4-byte big-endian CRC-32 of the uncompressed data, as the specification requires. The checksum is verified on read.
- XzCodec
The
xzcodec: each block is one XZ stream (LZMA2), with a CRC-64 check as Java's xz codec writes it. Reading accepts every XZ check type.
- ZstandardCodec
The
zstandardcodec: each block is one or more Zstandard frames. Reading accepts frames with or without a content checksum and with or without the decompressed size, as Java's streaming writer produces them.
